Art Faculty Featured in Juried Show

An etching titled “Baby” by Kim Darling, a Fine Arts Department faculty member, is currently on display at the College Hall Gallery at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier through October 1. Featuring work from VCFA alums, current students, Artist-Mentors & staff, the title of the exhibit is “Gender Riot” and is juried by artist Sheila Pepe. Pepe’s work employs conceptualism, surrealism, and craft to address feminist and class issues. The exhibition is part of Montpelier Alive’s monthly Art Walk.

 

Kim Darling holds a BFA from Alfred University and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She studied at Art Students League, New York City, New York, and at Bottega del Buon Fresco in Florence, Italy. She teaches at St. Johnsbury Academy and Community College of Vermont and is co-owner of Gatto Nero Press in St. Johnsbury.
