At Saint Johnsbury Academy, our students actively participate in the exhibits and performances. They not only participate but also lead and organize these events, proudly presenting their creative works within the Academy and the broader community. Throughout the year, we eagerly invite visual artists, choreographers, directors, actors, dancers, and musicians to join us as visiting artists and guest lecturers.

Our fine arts faculty is comprised of professional working artists who are passionate about sharing their expertise. The performing arts instructors are actively engaged in their own practice and participate in outside events and performances. Our visual artists maintain their own studio practices and exhibit their work regularly. This high level of professionalism dramatically enriches the experience of our students.

The Charles Hosmer Morse Center for the Arts has elegance and sophistication, offering a modern and well-lit environment for our fine arts department. With state-of-the-art studio spaces and a black-box theater, this facility provides the perfect space for our students to unleash their creativity. Moreover, our academy’s collaboration with esteemed local and state arts institutions, such as the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, Catamount Arts, Fairbanks Museum, and the Vermont Arts Council, ensures that our students have access to diverse and enriching artistic experiences, broadening their horizons and nurturing their talents.
