Learn why Yankee Magazine called St. Johnsbury one of the 25 best towns in New England.

The Center will feature:

Integrated Wellness Spaces: Supporting the whole student—physically, mentally, and socially.

Fitness and Recreation Areas: From varsity athletes to students discovering a new fitness routine, every member of our community will find a place to seek healthful balance and build lifelong habits of fitness.

Equity of Access: Fully ADA-compliant spaces, Title IX-aligned athletic facilities, and inclusive locker/team spaces open for broader use during the school day and beyond.

A Campus Hub: Common spaces and flexible rooms where students and the larger community can engage, collaborate, and connect.

Our Health, Wellness and Physical Education Department: Offering students a solid foundation of knowledge through multi-year, age-appropriate health curricula.

Sustainable Building Leadership: A Passive House-informed building at the vanguard of sustainable architecture, and a powerful teaching tool for students in our construction technology programs.

Connection and Gathering: Light-filled commons and gathering spaces for informal connection, peer engagement, and community-building.

SJA Faculty and Athletic Trainer

“Over the years, the Academy has grown not only in population and campus size, but also in the numbers of sports teams and extracurriculars offered. Our overall athletic facility and training room are too small to serve the needs of our students. By upgrading the building, we can provide safe space for all students to play, work-out, and socialize.”
