Bess O’Brien, filmmaker and director of “Just Getting By,” will be the guest.

As part of St. Johnsbury Academy’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy community,

filmmaker Bess O’Brien will present her latest documentary, Just Getting By. She will share insights

into her creative process and the development of the film’s compelling narrative. The documentary

offers an intimate look into the lives of Vermont families navigating the challenges of poverty,

shedding light on the complex and often flawed systems they encounter.
