David Hale
David Hale, SJA Culinary Faculty, recently completed a fundraiser to support Kingdom Community Services and the food shelf by doing something he loves — tuning up bicycles!
Knowing that many people in our community are in need of food support outside of the school year, Chef Hale started a fundraiser, “Getting in Tune,” for Kingdom Community Services and the food shelf. He offered bike pampering for a suggested donation, which included: full cleaning, drive train lube and tuning, brake tuning, and tire pressure and other adjustments. Chef Hale raised $1,950! He shared “KCS provides food for families year round, with a particular need as school winds down in June. These funds will help smooth the road.”
Thank you to Chef Hale for going above and beyond to promote food security in our region and for helping those who participated to get out and enjoy their bikes!
