This is an American Heart Association FIRST AID, CPR, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.
Instructor
St. Johnsbury Academy’s Human Services Professional Services instructor, Jennifer McGarvin has been teaching First Aid and CPR to students for over 5 years. She has a Masters in Organizational Management and Leadership and teaches in the Career and Technical Education department. In addition, she does all of the CPR/First Aid training for the Academy’s students taking classes in health, sports medicine, and human services.
