Attention Student Government Reps. We will have a very important but short meeting tomorrow, Thursday, at 7:30am in the upstairs of Fuller to finalize Spring Day plans. Can everybody in the house make some noise and give it up for Spring Day.

This Friday, May 12th, the 9th graders are hosting a spring dance in the Amphitheatre from 8pm to 10pm. Guests from other schools are welcome but must be registered in Student Life by 3pm today! The cost is $3 per person or $5 per couple. Join us for the Spring Fling!
Any current Sophomore or Junior who wants to travel abroad on an Academy trip but who cannot afford to pay for such a trip: here is your big opportunity. Next year, the Academy will again offer three scholarships for students who can demonstrate financial need. The three recipients of these generous scholarships can choose between the following programs: The business and culture trip to London and Paris; the art-based trip to Florence, Italy; the Spanish language trip to Ecuador; the service trip to Ghana; the trip to Nepal; and the exchange program in Freiburg, Germany. If you want to apply for one of these scholarships, please see or email Mr. Ehrean. He will have all the details you need for the application.
This week is National Nurses Week! We are so lucky to have three wonderful nurses at SJA, Ms. Garey, Ms. Welsh, and Ms. Ponoran here in our community. Thank you for all that you do!
Attention Sophomores, the cards are in! If you sold cards for the Class of 2025 Cards for Our Class Fundraiser, you can pick your boxes up after school today in Streeter 242. Remember, unless the people you sold to requested direct shipping, you must deliver their cards. Stop by Streeter 242 after school today to pick up your cards! If you cannot make it today, stay tuned for more announcements about when and where you can pick up your cards. Otherwise, we’ll see you in Streeter 242 this afternoon!
Nepal trip participants, there will be a brief mandatory meeting directly after school this coming Friday May 12th to go over some additional paperwork that is needed in order to confirm your spot on the trip. The meeting will be held in the Tinker House. If you cannot make this meeting, please reach out to Mr. Railla or Ms. Cote. If you’re still interested in finding out more about the Nepal trip and didn’t get to make the first info meeting, please stop by Tinker or email Mr. Railla or Ms. Cote.
If you are interested in practicing your Spanish while exploring the Andes Mountains and Amazon Rainforest, you should travel with us to Ecuador next April! Everyone interested in this trip must come to a mandatory meeting in Newell 13 tomorrow, Thursday, at 3:10 — immediately after classes. If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact Mrs. Reed to get an application.
Students interested in traveling to Florence must return interest forms no later than Monday! Forms won’t be accepted after May 15th. See Mrs. Loder in Morse 302 with signed forms.
Team Culture Fest: We will meet again tomorrow, Thursday, right after school in Ranger 210. Everyone should come ready to work on preparations for your Culture Fest booth. See Ms. Hibbert or Ms. Smith with questions.

Did you know that suicide is the second leading cause of death for teens and young adults ages 10-34? Come and join our school community in raising awareness through participating in the Hope Walks Here walk. This event is open to the entire community including faculty, staff, and students and will take place on Saturday, May 20th at 9:30am. Email Ms. Cote in Tinker for more information!
