The Academy Wrestling team placed 8th as a team at the Vermont State Wrestling tournament, which was a fantastic outcome with only 7 wrestlers competing. Carbur Rousseau placed 6th in the 152-pound weight class, Austin Strang placed 5th in the 126-pound weight class, Sanat Amamtayev placed 5th in the 195-weight class, and Ozzy Alsaid placed 2nd in the 160-pound class, which qualified him for New Englands. Coach Stark, Rodrick and DJ are very proud of your accomplishments, perseverance and determination given this very challenging year.  Congratulations to the team!

The SJA Gymnastics team had a fantastic season finale finishing second at the VT High school Gymnastics State Meet. The SJA team went in seeded second with a 9 win-1 loss record and knew it would be a tough competition with four other teams vying for that second-place spot as well.  Glentz Brush placed 14th all around with a 33.3, Cushing earned 10th with a 34.105 and Jones closed out her high school career with her personal best all-around score and 2nd place with a 37.375.  All three seniors- Jones, Cushing, and fellow captain, Sabrina Lamar along with teammates Glentz Brush, Katy Noonan, Aniela Thompson and Lydia Zetong Wang all had bright spots throughout the meet. Lamar and Thompson performed their best floor routines of the year, Noonan performed her fly away dismount for the first time in a competition, and Glentz Brush- competed all around as a freshman, and Wang entertained the crowd with her artistic floor routine that showed off her grace and flexibility.  Congratulations to the entire team on a great season!
