Mr. Despins’ B and C block Sports Medicine I classes will be meeting in the Field House today.

Seniors – tonight is the night for all of you Nov. 1st deadliners! 5-7pm in the Guidance Office! 

 

Today at 11am we will have a recruiter from the Marines on campus. They will be located in the Colby Conference Room.  If you are scheduled to be in class during the time of the visit, please check in with your teacher before coming to the visit. You are also required to return to class after the completion of the visit, attendance is turned into the main office.

 

The following colleges will have visits tomorrow: Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Coastal Carolina University, Springfield College, and Regis College. Be sure to visit Naviance to sign up for all college visits.

 

There will be a Vermont Army national Guard Recruiter on campus tomorrow for any interested student.

 

Looking for something to jazz up your weekend activities? The Dorm Council would love for you to join us on Saturday night for the Halloween Dance in the Amphitheater from 7-930. Today is the day members of the Outing Club climb high at North Country Climbing Center! Participants must be on Brantview Drive by 3:30, and we will return to campus by 6:15. 

 

Salsa Steps will meet after conference period on Wednesday in Newell Hall 25. Please join us as we explore more salsa and Bachata and other steps. Come get a little exercise and have fun dancing!!

 

Yes! The Breathing Room will be open for Meditation today after school. Come to NH 10 this afternoon if you are curious, stressed, or already-relaxed-but-looking-for-a-supportive-group to start you on the way to personal practice. We welcome those with experience, as well as students who are brand-new to deep breathing. Come cultivate some Zen!

 

Come one, come all to our 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament on November 5th starting at 3pm in the Gymnasium. $10 entry fee to be paid at the time of registration with Mr. LaCroix in Campus Life. The money raised will go to our Thanksgiving Baskets and other large community needs, as well as cash prizes to the winning teams!

While Fall sports charge ahead through playoffs, the girls’ basketball program would like to offer an opportunity to get a head start on the winter sports season by meeting all interested new players and welcoming back our returning players.   We will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, October 28 at 3:40 in the gym. This meeting will be brief and open to anyone interested in learning more about open gym times that will start November 2. Fall athletes competing in the playoffs can come to the meeting to check in with Coach Huntington then head to practices. We are Looking forward to seeing all girls who may be interested in playing basketball on Thursday, October 28 at 3:40 in the main gym.

 

On Saturday, JV Volleyball placed 3rd in the Essex Jamboree. 

 

JV-A Boys lost to Mt. Mansfield, 4-2. 

 

On Friday, the boys Cross Country team placed 3rd in the 9-team meet hosted by Mt. Mansfield.  Hale Boyden placed 2nd to lead the boys with Andrew Thornton-Sherman 7th, and Carson Eames, Nathan Lenzini, and Ryan Callaghan completing the scoring for the boys.

 

Last night, Varsity Volleyball beat Mt. Anthony, 3-0.  They will move onto the quarterfinals scheduled for Friday.
