Green Day

In order to prepare for Winter Carnival on February 5 and 6, the theme must be selected. Please check your school email to vote on a theme. You have until noon tomorrow to vote!

Attention all writers: don’t forget that Tony Hao will be giving a special talk about his work in Chinese translation, focusing on the creative process of translation today at 3pm in South Church. Refreshments will be served. Writers’ Block, we will be meeting at South Church tomorrow to listen to Mr. Hao. All are welcome!

Don’t forget — the first HILLS workshop in our leadership training and culture building series with Mr. Keffer starts this Thursday from 2:45 to 3:45 in Mayo Lounge. To reserve your spot, please RSVP on our Canvas page. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to your participation!

The deadline for buying tickets for the “Love Notes” Vermont Symphony concert on Saturday February 14 has been extended by popular demand, but seats are running out, and Mr. Mackenzie must book tickets by the end of this week! So, if you haven’t done so already, please submit your signed permission slip and $10 fee to Mr. or Mrs. Mackenzie, Mr. Buhner, or Ms. Porter ASAP.

During this Friday’s advisory, the SJA community has the opportunity to make valentines for our local elderly community members. We partner with the Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging, which delivers the valentines to people who may not have many visitors and may not be able to get out of the house, especially in the winter months. These expressions of love and connection mean so much to them, and we encourage your advisory to participate! Mrs. Morris is also looking for any students who have time to volunteer after school on Wednesday or Thursday to organize supplies for our advisories. If you love this type of project or need volunteer hours, please stop by her classroom in Ranger 212 after school on Wednesday. Thanks for your huge Hilltopper hearts!

Happy birthday today to Benjamin Cain, Jason Cheng, Madisson Colby, Mathias Leafe, and Colby Speer!
