World Alzheimer’s Day was the perfect occasion to kick off the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s season in Vermont. It was inspiring to see people of all ages gather on Sunday morning at the Welcome Center in St. Johnsbury to honor and remember their loved ones and advocate for awareness. Thank you to the student volunteers, participants, and generous donors who helped make the 2025 NEK Walk to End Alzheimer’s a success. Our Topper Teams showcased their dedication and support, and the St. Johnsbury Academy community raised over $6,200 to support this important cause. Your presence and commitment are truly impactful; they inspire hope and foster change as we continue this important work together!
Thank you for joining us after the “Walk for a Healthy Community” for a sampling of what it feels like to be a part of our incredible community. We want SJA to be a place where we can learn together, play together, laugh together, and sing together. We are better when we embrace our community for all that it has to offer. Friday after the walk, we will have: Pickup soccer on Fairbanks Field; Volleyball/futsal/ping-pong in the Field House; Pickup basketball in the gym; Learn an SJA cheer with the SJA Cheerleaders on Mayo Lawn; Yard games on Stowe Green; Improv workshop in the Blackbox; Ultimate frisbee on Brantview Lawn; Art It Out on Stowe Green with Ms. Cote; Trivia and board games in the library; Student band outside Morse; and enjoy food/snacks while supplies last provided by Lexington at the top of the Amphitheater.
Happy Birthday today to Matthew MacDonald, Skylar Jones, Alice Furstenberg, Savannah Hussey-Koval, and Jack Rachdorf!
