Don’t forget — if you’re interested in playing basketball this winter, come join our open gym work outs during the week. Boys basketball meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm and Girl’s basketball meets on Thursdays and Sundays from 6 to 7:30pm. World Suicide Prevention Day takes place every year on 10th of September. It’s a global day of awareness and reflection, bringing people together to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and show support for those affected by suicide. It’s also a time to remind ourselves that suicide is preventable and that every one of us has a role to play in creating a society where people feel safe, supported, and able to talk about their mental health. So, today, we remind ourselves to look out for one another here at SJA. Today is a chance to: Remember those we’ve lost, support those who are struggling, promote open and compassionate conversations about mental health, and encourage people to reach out for help and to offer support to others. If you or someone you know is struggling, please connect with the Tinker Health Center. Help is also available 24/7 by calling or texting 988.
