Green Day

Next Thursday, March 13th is the Academy’s first lip sync battle in over 30 years! Students and faculty are encouraged to sign up to perform using the links on the posters around campus or with Mr. O’Brien in Streeter 266. Don’t miss out!

Writers’ Block will have just a brief informational meeting today at 3:00 in Ranger 110. We’ll be back to our meetings next week.

Book Club is starting a new book, The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff. This one is a suspenseful story told from the perspective of a young servant girl who flees a settlement in pre-colonial America and sets out to try and survive in the wilderness. If you are interested in reading along, you can pick up copies from the library circulation desk today. Our first meeting to discuss the first half of the book will be from 5:30-7 in the library next Wednesday, March 12. All are welcome to get a copy and read, even if you haven’t come to a book club yet!

Are you ready for some football? Spring Football practices will be held in the Field House after school Thursday and Friday this week and Monday through Thursday next week. All students are welcome to participate.

Do you enjoy swimming? Do you like working with kids? Would you be interested in becoming a lifeguard this summer at the Kiwanis Pool? If so, please contact Ms. Meranze in person or via email! Returning lifeguards should reach out as well. We’re excited to build our team for this summer!

Happy Birthday today to Dalton Avery & Evan Windrow!
