Green Day
This week, we will be holding fire drills in each of the academic buildings. Please remember to stay with your class and meet your teacher in your classes’ designated spot outside of the building.
Seniors check your stjlabs account today for the Spirit Squad nominations survey that needs to be completed no later than Thursday, October 12. Nominate five members of our class that you see as the ultimate Hilltoppers, think of five individuals who are filled with class and school spirit and nominate them for an all-school vote!
Attention all students: please consider joining the class of 2026 for our very first fundraiser — A Friday the 13th movie night! Games, snacks & drinks for sale, and music will take place in the Amphitheater starting at 5pm. We will then watch a movie in the Mayo Lounge (HOCUS POCUS!) at 6pm. The cost of entry is $1, and candy, popcorn, soda, and hot chocolate will all be for sale for $1 each. Come support the Class of 2026!
There will be no Student Art League today, but we will meet next week.
Join the Outing Club this Sunday, October 15th on our third rock climbing trip of the year! Depending on the weather, we will either climb outside at Echo Crag in Franconia NH or go inside and work on our skills at North Country Climbing Center. The bus will leave from in front of the fieldhouse at 9am and return by 2pm at the latest. Get your permission slips from the front desk of the Field House or in Student Life. See Mr. Holden for details.
The Eckel Advisory would like to thank everyone who came to our bake sale yesterday! We appreciate all the positive support, love, purchases, and donations. Our donation to the food bank is $150.67. You make us so proud to be part of this community of incredible people!
Thanks for coming to last weekend’s showing of the horror classic “Revenge of the Cardboard Part 8.” If you missed this viewing, that really stinks for you because you totally missed out. The movie is about how cardboard comes to life by snatching the souls of humans and is based on a true story. To prevent such a movie from coming to life, please gather your carboard and bring it to burn in next week’s Spirit Week Bonfire.
Two Sophomores who never had spoken to each other worked side by side on their Spirit Week Hallway. One asked the other to borrow some tape. Does Spirit Week matter? The three children of these two Sophomores who met during Spirit Week over 30 years ago would say so. If you see Mr. Ryan, please ask him to share more Spirit Week philosophies in 15 seconds or less.
Happy Birthday today to Makenna Emmons and a special Happy Birthday to Taishiro Yamaoka from his advisory!
