All Juniors taking the PSAT on October 31st — please report to the Alumni Gym during advisory tomorrow morning. Please bring your chrome book fully charged for a pre-administration set up. Attendance will be taken. 

 

The following seniors need to meet Mr. Legge on the front steps of Fuller after Chapel for a photo: Greer Kennedy, Kaia Anderson, and Brooke White.

 

Attention all travelers! There is now one spot available for the West Africa Ghana Trip in February, please see Ms. Keach in Streeter 263 for an application and information, this is a first come first serve opportunity.

 

There will be a brief Alpine Ski Team information and interest meeting at 3:30 on Monday, October 30th in the Alumni Gym.  Please attend if you plan to try out for the team.

 

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. On Wednesday, November 15th, St. Johnsbury Academy will be hosting its Fall Blood Drive. Sign-ups will be in the cafeteria during C block starting today. Students 16 years of age may donate, with parental consent, and students 17 years and older can donate without the consent form. All SJA donor names will be entered into a drawing for raffles prizes! Stop by the table in the dining hall this week or see Mrs. McCaffrey in Colby 106 with any questions and to schedule your appointment. 

 

All Harvard Model Congress participants: There is a mandatory but brief meeting after school today! In the meeting we will go through the registration and role choice process. Please check in with Mr. Weiss if you have any questions.

 

Attention Tennis Club: Tennis club will resume today and every Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Field House until Thanksgiving break. Any questions, please contact Dr. Sayarath in the Science Department. 

 

Bowlers! This Wednesday right after Conference Period, we will be bowling at Gold Crown Lanes. The bus will leave from Brantview Drive at 3:15. The cost will be $5 per game and $2 for shoes. Please see Mr. Lacroix in Student Life to sign up and email Mr. Weiss if you have any questions.

The Varsity field hockey team got the win versus LI today with 5 minutes remaining in OT. Maggie Langlais scored off a pass into the circle from Ella Blanchard. Samara Rutledge had 4 saves and the shutout today. Congrats to our Seniors Esme Kimber and Dillon Davis for their amazing leadership and dedication to the team.

 

The girls XC team were league runner ups at Saturday’s championships: Ruth Krebs took 4th; Willa Kantrowitz 11; Lilly Laskowski 15; Siri Jolliffe 17; and Emersen Mitchell in 18th. Congratulations to Abby Gerhardt and Zoey Cusac for new PR’s!

 

Girls soccer beat Burr & Burton, 5-4, in overtime. Eihlis Murphy had a hat trick with 3 goals, Kyra Nelson scored one goal, and Meredith Rogers scored the final goal in overtime for the win!
