Green Day

All 9th grade health classes — please remember to meet in Fuller Basement for class today and tomorrow.

Mrs. McGarvin’s Intro to Human Services classes (C and E block) should report to Brantview Drive at the start of their class time to board their bus to their field trip. Students who are not on the bus at the start of class time will be left behind and must report to the Student Life Office.

Winter Carnival Spirit Court — please remember to meet Mr. Legge on the front steps of Fuller after Chapel for your photo.

All Scholastic Art Award Winners — we did not have a good showing for the photo yesterday, so please be sure to meet Mr. Legge on the front steps of Fuller today for a photo.

Today is the first day of Blood Drive Sign ups in the dining hall. Stop by the table to schedule your appointment!

Just a reminder to Vermont Seniors applying for VSAC scholarships. Today is the deadline to let Ms. Carr know if you need supporting documents uploaded for your application. Please stop by the Guidance Office before 3pm today if you have any questions.

Two days left to register for the SAT exam happening on March 22nd. Please stop by the guidance office with questions.

Love has many different definitions, but abuse isn’t one of them. Every single person deserves to be in a safe and healthy relationship. Come by after school to learn more about engaging in healthy relationships in the library media room from 3:30-4:30 PM today! An advocate from Umbrella will also be there to share information. This will count as an afternoon activity for dorm students.  Snacks will be provided, see you there!

Just a reminder from the Make It Better Club: The Recharge Room will go live this Wednesday, February 15, in the library. Listen for another announcement tomorrow with more information.

Ice Climbing is here! The Outing Club is taking you outside for some ice on Saturday, the 18th, that’s this Saturday! Want to grab medieval weaponry and swing it into frozen waterfalls? Of course you do. You must see Mr. Weiss for permission slips and boot sizing, so get yourself to Colby 209 ASAP to secure a spot on the trip. No experience necessary, and all gear will be provided. Let’s get after it!

Mr. Camelio’s Joke of the Week — Valentine’s Day style: What did the chef give his wife for Valentine’s day? A hug and a quiche. 😊 Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Birthday today to Claudia Canuto and Ximena Mayorga Santana!

The Hilltoppers were relentless all game long in route to a bounce back win over #3 ranked South Burlington 69-60.  Harry Geng had 22 points, followed by Rex Hauser with 12 points, and Kerrick Medose with 11 points. Aidan Brody and Carter Bunnell each tallied 8 points.

Last Thursday, the Academy nordic team fought the heavy wet snow to win the 15k classic/skate relays at Kingdom Trails. The team of Siri Jolliffe and Ruth Krebs won the girls’ varsity race, followed by the third-place finish of team Anya Moriarty and Mary Fowler. Sisu Lange and Charles Krebs handily won the boys race, followed by the 2nd place finish of team Nathan Lenzini and Nick Reed.  The Academy JV racers won their races as well, as the teams of Sam Dunn and Charley Vaal and Zoe Buhner and Olivia Blanchard won their respective races.

And, on Sunday at the Eastern Qualifiers race at Sleepy Hollow Nordic Center, Ruth and Charles Krebs earned spots to represent the state of Vermont at the Eastern High School Championships to be held later this year at Rickert Nordic Center. Sisu Lange qualified as a U16 racer and will represent Vermont at the U16 Championships held in Maine.  Congrats to all the skiers for their continued success this season!
