SJA is hosting the NVAC Mountain League Cross Country race today. The Barker Avenue and South Main Street exits will be closed after school. Please exit along Brantview Drive slowly and carefully as we will have numerous guests on campus.

 

Don’t forget — this is school photo week. Mr. Legge will be on Fuller stage taking photos all week. Please be sure to stop by during your study hall or free block. If you have any questions, stop by Fuller or the Headmaster’s Office. Extra order envelopes can be picked up in the Main Office or Student Life Office.

 

The following college has a visit today: University of Richmond at 10 am. Tomorrow, the following colleges will be visiting: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona, Paul Smith’s College, Salve Regina University, and University of Southern Maine. Please be sure to check Naviance for all details.

 

An Army National Guard recruiter will be on campus tomorrow at 9am in Colby Conference Room. Please check in with your teachers before the visit if you plan to attend.

 

Attention Boarding Students! Today from 9:30-3:30 will be your only opportunity to be fitted for ski/snowboard equipment for the season. Please stop by the Field House during your free block, lunch block, or right after E block to be fitted. If you have any questions, please see Mr. LaCroix!

 

Today is the very last day to sign up for the Writer’s Block retreat to Copper Cannon Camp on Thursday. If you’d like to go, you must turn in your permission slip and $8 to Mrs. Mackenzie or Mrs. Jolliffe by this afternoon at 3:30. Stop by Ranger 110 or Ranger 113 if you need a slip.

 

The Outing Club will meet today at the outdoor climbing wall at 3:30.

 

Attention mountain bikers: check your stjlabs email today for information about this week’s club rides. Email Mr. Bentley today to reserve a spot on the Wednesday bus.

 

Greetings from the Make is Better Club! Our birthday bag bash project is off to a great start. We’ve collected enough items to put together a number of birthday parties for local kids whose parents can’t afford one on their own, but we still need your help to make this project a success. Our goal is to make at least 80 birthday party bags. Please give your advisor your donations, and thanks to everyone for their support.

JV-A Boys Soccer beat Colchester, 1-0.

 

Varsity Volleyball beat LI, 3-0, and the JV team beat LI, 2-0.

 

JV Football beat U-32, 12-6.

 

On Saturday, at the woods trail invitational the girls’ cross country team finished in 9th place out of 37 teams. Leading the way for the Hilltoppers was Bennett Crance who finished 5th in her seeded race, followed closely by Ava Purdy and Siri Jolliffe who finished 11th and 12th respectively. Peyton Qualter and wisteria Franklin finished 29th and 32nd to round out the team scoring. The Hilltoppers girls race today at home in a 17 school race. Please come root them on!
