Seniors — tickets for the graduation ceremony are in. If you have paid your $50.00 graduation fee, please stop by the Headmaster’s Office to pick up your tickets. Graduation fees can be paid in the Headmaster’s Office or the Business Office.  Prom tickets are now available in the Campus Life Office.

 

Attention students taking AP Seminar next semester! Our summer reading text is Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. The English Department has a limited number of copies to lend out. Please see Ms. Drew in Colby 205 if you would like to borrow a copy. If you are not signed up for AP Seminar and you are interested in learning more about the class, see Ms. Drew, Mrs. Jolliffe, or Mr. Jolliffe for more information! 

 

Today is the last day of the Senior Auction. All items will close at 3:30 pm this afternoon. Today is your last chance to bid on the opportunity to take your favorite person on a tour of the White Mountains via helicopter. Today will be your last opportunity to bid on the Yeti cooler and the camp chair/table combo for the ultimate camping experience. Today is the last day to bid on the coolest items from the Topper Shop. Remember, all bidding closes at 3:30 pm. Good luck! 

 

Seniors — breaking news! Six Flags has a huge water park that will be open on May 29! The deadline to sign-up is this Thursday! Stop by Campus Life ASAP! Rollercoasters and waterpark rides, you can’t find a better deal. 

 

Spring Day is this Friday. Get ready to enjoy everything from a Yard Sale to Jug Ball to Soccer to Trivia to a Poetry Slam to Capture the Flag to Dodge Ball and much, much more. The day will begin at 8 with Chapel at the Football Field and end with a 10-minute advisory at 11:45 and a regular Friday grab and go lunch.

 

It’s time to return library books. That’s the agreement: you borrow, you bring back. If you received an email last week saying you have books to bring back and haven’t done it yet, please do. And then comes the fun bit! Borrow books for the summer! Want to read an entire series? You can! Want to build a summer to-be-read pile of new and interesting things? You can! Returning students can borrow books for the entire summer. Students who are not coming back to SJA next year need to return all of their books before the school year ends.

 

The Skills USA competitors will be selling Sushi, Whoopie Pies, Cookies, and Root Beer Floats during Spring Day. This will be a fundraising event to support those students competing at Nationals this summer. The booth with be at the Amphitheater right after Chapel on Friday. The cost will be $2.00 for all items. Please stop by our booth and support our State gold medal winners.

 

Attention to all who would like to purchase a copy of The Clear River Review, the Academy Journal for the Arts and Literature – please drop by Colby 205, the Capstone office, to buy a copy by noon on Spring Day. Copies cost $15 each and there are only a few left. Checks should be made out to St. Johnsbury Academy. Thanks for your interest!

 

The last Badminton Club of the year meets today in the Field House from 3:30-4:15! Badminton. Today. 3:30. Field House. 

 

Science Olympiad will meet Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 in Streeter 241. Come to one of the meetings to help us plan for summer responsibilities. New members are encouraged to attend.  

 

The Café will be ending breakfast at 9:00am on Friday, but don’t fret!  From 9:00-11:30am, they will be selling Fried Dough, Corn Dogs, Chocolate Coke Floats, and Soda. Items can be purchased with cash or funds on your ID cards!
