Green Day

 

Today is Day 2 of the Week of Giving — Don’t forget to bring in non-perishable food items for the Thanksgiving Baskets and food shelf. See the posters around campus for what food is needed. Drop items in the boxes outside of Campus Life and Guidance, and be sure to let your advisor know how many items you bring in.

 

Attention all student athletes planning to play a winter sport: If you haven’t done so yet, please complete the Winter Sports Sign-up Google Survey you received in your stjlabs email account. Winter Meet the Coaches will be conducted tomorrow evening, Wednesday, via Zoom, at 6 pm. A Zoom invitation will be sent later today. Athletes must attend, and parents are encouraged to join.

 

Calling all College Bound Hilltoppers! The following college has a visit today: Castleton University at 2pm in the Colby Conf. Room. Be sure to sign up for their visits on Naviance and to view all details. If you are scheduled to be in class during the time of the visit, please check in with your teacher before coming to the college visit. You are also required to return to class after the completion of the visit, and attendance will be turned into the Main Office.

 

The following colleges will have visits tomorrow — The University of Alabama and Clarkson University. Be sure to visit Naviance to sign up for all college visits.

 

Attention International Students wanting to take the Dec 4th TOEFL — the registration deadline is this Friday, November 19 at noon! See Mrs. McCaffrey in the Guidance Office to register and with any questions.

 

Have you considered a career in medicine, biomedical research, nursing, physical therapy, or any other health-related field? Would you like to get more experience while still in high school, and share experiences and resources with like-minded students and professionals? The Biomedical and Health Careers Certificate program might be a good fit for you. We’d love to see you at an informational meeting Wednesday right after Conference Period in Streeter 226. Can’t make the meeting? Please see Dr. Desjardins or Dr. Sayarath for more information.

Academy Theatre will meet today after school from 3:30-4:30pm in the Black Box. The chapel performances are scheduled for the week of Dec. 6. If you are planning on performing, you must attend the remaining rehearsals.

 

Attention Tennis Club — we will meet in the Field House today from 3:45 to 4:45. Please make sure to arrive on time. Please contact Dr. Sayarath if you have any questions.

 

Tech Storm, SJA’s robotics club, will be meeting today in Streeter 230 starting at 3:45. Feel free to stop by to come see the robot, and learn how to build another.

 

This week, Salsa Steps will meet after conference period on Wednesday in Newell Hall 25. Please join us as we explore more salsa with Juanita and Señora Woods. Come get a little exercise and have fun dancing!

 

Last week the Outing Club had an incredible turnout for our weekly climbing trip to the indoor climbing center, so let’s keep that stoke high and have another great turnout this week! See Campus Life to sign up. Find Mr. Holden or Mr. Weiss for details. The bus will leave from Brantview Drive at 3:30pm on Wednesday.

 

Hello to all members of SCOPE! It’s time to rock (you know what I mean!). After school today — meet at 3:30 in Ranger 212. A reminder that people should be signing up to email club advisors for the upcoming video. Check your email for the link to the sign-up doc, and see you after school today!

 

The Bowling Club meets today. The bus leaves Brantview Drive at 3:45 pm. Just a reminder that the price is $4.00 per game with free fashion footwear. Joke of the Week: The day after Thanksgiving my wife asked me if I would like to eat some leftovers. I replied, “No thanks, I’m trying to quit cold turkey”. Have a great Thanksgiving Break!
