Calling all College Bound Hilltoppers! The following colleges have Virtual Visits today: Boston College via Zoom at 11am; Indiana University – Bloomington via Zoom at 1pm. Be sure to sign up for their visits on Naviance and to view all details. If you are scheduled to be in class during the time of the visit, please check in with your teacher before coming to the college visit. You are also required to return to class after the completion of the visit, attendance is turned into the main office.

 

There will be a Marine Recruiter on campus tomorrow for any student interested.

 

Seniors – Yesterday marked the one-week deadline to Nov. 1st! Today is one day closer… be sure to join in on the Application Fun Night on Wednesday from 5-7pm in the Guidance Office.

Looking for something to jazz up your weekend activities? The Dorm Council would love for you to join us on Saturday night for the Halloween Dance in the Amphitheater from 7-930. Prizes for the best costume, the scariest costume, best group costume, and best overall costume. The cost is $5. Come one come all to the Monster Mash Ball!

 

Academy Theatre will be meeting today after school from 3:30-4:30pm in the Blackbox. Please attend if you are planning on performing in the upcoming Chapel performance.

 

Due to the rain, the Mountain Bike Club will not meet today. 

 

When it gets too cold to climb outside, what does the Outing Club do; we move that climbing party inside! Don’t miss out on your chance to check out the best indoor climbing gym around on Wednesdays from 3:30-6. A reminder that SCOPE will hold its regular meeting this afternoon beginning at 3:30 in Ranger 212. This week we’ll be setting up donation boxes and advertising for the community birthday boxes and brainstorming middle school mentoring opportunities in collaboration with the admissions team. We also have several new campaign ideas in the works! We always welcome new members, so we hope to see you there. See Mrs. Begin or Mrs. Morris with any questions.

 

The Fairbanks Museum is looking for a “Teen Intern” on their Board of Directors. They are looking to create this position to introduce teens to service and board work and to harness the wisdom, energy, and insights of the area young people. Applications are in the Campus Life Office for those who are interested.

 

Salsa Steps will meet after conference period on Wednesday in Newell Hall 25. Please join us as we explore more salsa and Bachata and other steps.  Come get a little exercise and have fun dancing!!

Come one, come all to our 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament on November 5th starting at 3pm in the Gymnasium. $10 entry fee to be paid at the time of registration with Mr. LaCroix in Campus Life. The money raised will go to our Thanksgiving Baskets and other large community needs, as well as cash prizes to the winning teams!

 

The Bowling Club will meet on Tuesday. The bus will leave Brantview Drive at 3:45. Joke of the Week: Why do mummies have a hard time making friends? Answer: Because they’re too wrapped up in themselves. Happy Halloween! 😊
