Green Day

 

Clubs start meeting today! If you have not yet found a club or missed the club fair, stop by the Student Life Office for a list of clubs and where they will be meeting.

 

Calling all volunteers and artists. Mr. Chatterley is looking for volunteers to help paint and prime the barriers of the Portland Street Bridge for an upcoming art project. We’ll go this Friday during D and E block and return to school at 3:00pm. If you’re interested, please email Mr. Chatterley or stop by Morse in person to sign up.

 

Writers’ Block, the Academy creative writing club, will host its first meeting of the semester tomorrow in Ranger 110 at 3:30. We’ll make tea, do a little bit of writing, and talk about plans for some fun trips this fall.  All are always welcome.

 

Attention Dungeons and Dragons, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and other TCG and tabletop game enthusiasts. Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd, will be our first club meeting day. Beginners to experts, and everyone in between are welcome. See you in the dining hall from 3:15 – 4:30.

 

Attention all Girl’s Basketball players. Open gym starts this week on Wednesday, September 2 in Alumni Gym from 6:30 – 8:00pm. We look forward to seeing you in the gym as we prepare for the upcoming winter season.

 

Varsity Volleyball won against LI in 4 sets yesterday. It was an amazing team win with 86% serving; 21 Aces, and 39 Digs.

 

Girls’ varsity soccer team lost their season opener on Friday against MMU, 2-4, but had a strong showing in the second half with goals from Olive Annello and Lucy Moriarty assisted by Lucy and Cora Adams.
