Team Pride Day

Green Day

Tomorrow is Anything but a Backpack Day! Whether it is jewelry box, a shoebox, or a toolbox, we don’t care — just please…no live animals!

The most anticipated social event of the winter is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for Friday, February 13 for the Valentine’s Semi-Formal Dance. The event will be held in the Dining Hall from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This is a semi-formal affair. We are thrilled to announce that DJ Weiss will be spinning tunes all night. To keep your energy up between songs, a variety of drinks and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Admission is $3 for individuals or $5 for a pair. Please remember: School IDs are mandatory for entry at the door, and you must register any non-Academy guests in the Student Life Office by Wednesday, February 11. We look forward to seeing you there!

Your Kingdom Blades Girls hockey team is hosting a Pink the Rink game on Wednesday to raise money for the American Cancer Society. There will be chuck-a-puck, raffles, and other activities in partnership with Hockey Fights Cancer. Be there on Wednesday, Jay Peak Ice Haus at 5pm. Show up and support your girls in your best pink outfit.

Are you nervous about Thursday’s Art Activity for Winter Carnival because you don’t know what it is about? Just know that curiosity is a source of motivation, art is what you create, and participation is about showing up, so be there!

School will start on Friday with Chapel at 8. While there will be no classes, the day will be filled with learning. When a dodge ball is thrown at you, you learn to duck. When you lose at Rock, Paper, Scissors, you learn to make it 2 out of 3, and then 3 out of 5. You also learn that you stop there because everybody is tired of hearing those numbers between 5 and 8. Friday will finish off with the Dance Off at 2!

A reminder that tomorrow will be an ABDEC schedule. Please report directly to A block by 7:55am tomorrow morning. The schedule will be ABDEC blocks, followed by Winter Carnival preparations starting at 1:15pm.

Girls Varsity basketball took down BFA-St. Albans on the road last night with a decisive victory, 56-40. Brianna Bunnell led the squad with 22, Addy Ely with 12, Amelia Rossiter with 11, and Anna Ebert with 8. The team improves to 9-4 overall heading back on the road Wednesday. The JV team had a tough first loss of the season last night, but as a team, they kept composure and worked incredibly hard to try to fight their way through.

Happy Birthday today to Kalli Augsberger-Skala, Howell Hsu, and Molly O’Reilly!
