To all singers, poets, actors, comedians, dancers and writers, please attend the informational meeting today at 3pm in the Black Box. The goal of this meeting is to inform everyone of the performance schedule, match like-minded performers, and get everyone psyched! Go Theater!

 

Having trouble writing your entry for the Clear River Review journal? Come to Writers’ Block in Ranger 110 at 3:30 on Wednesday for tea, cookies, good company, and some help with your writing. All are welcome!

 

If you didn’t get a chance to make valentines for the Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging last week, don’t despair! A table is set up in the library all this week. If you’d like to stop by during your free block or after school – please do!

 

Saturday’s cold weather couldn’t stop Scholars’ Bowl competing in the first day of state competition in Montpelier. The Varsity team finished 3-1 with their only loss against CVU with a score of 280-275. The JV team finished with a perfect record at 4-0. Congratulations to all scholatheles: Marcus Burns, Phoebe Donn, Conall Kennedy, Charlie Peralez, Jonah Raser, Raine Rashid, Poppy Shattuck, Aleksey Strokanov, and Sophie White.

 

The wrestling team competed in the Commodore Invitational Tournament hosted at Vergennes High School. Sophomore Layla McGarvin won the Champion title for the Girls division in her weight class. Senior Jackson Ladd placed 4th in his weight class, and Senior Connor Decker earned 3rd Place in his weight class, while also reaching the 100-Win milestone.
