Green Day

Country vs. Country Club Day

Winter Carnival week continues tomorrow with Mix & Match Day!  Wear your craziest combination of stripes and polka dots or whatever odd combination you can come up with!

Juniors and Seniors — Colby Sawyer is on campus today for a visit. Please see Naviance or Mrs. LaBounty for details and to register. Be sure to check in with your teacher before attending.

Na-na na-na na-na na-na Seniors! The Dynamic Trio of skit, banner, and dance-off will continue their meetings right after school this afternoon! Senior Skit meets in Ranger 117 (Please return the disco ball); Banner Meets in Morse 302; Dance-Off Seniors will meet in Fuller Basement. Batman never kills, but Seniors slay! See you this afternoon!

There will be no indoor rock climbing today due to Winter Carnival. We will resume climbing next week.

Join the Outing Club as we climb from frozen waterfalls this Sunday February 9th! We had a great trip last week and we are psyched to get more students out there testing their limits. No experience is necessary, and you do not have to be part of the Outing Cub to join. Go to Student Life to sign up and see Mr. Holden for details.

Tomorrow at the Athenaeum at 5:30, join Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas and community partners in a conversation about the new Civic Health Report, which details civic engagement across the state and in our community.

George Eastman invented the Kodak camera in 1 day in 1888. In 1983, Def Leppard hit the charts with “Photograph.” On your first day at the Academy, you got your ID photo taken. The next milestone in photography will take place on Friday at the Winter Carnival One-Hour Photo Contest. You will report to Morse and get an assignment of some photos to take. You will reconvene to choose the best photo among your group and submit it to the judges. The more people in your class that show up, the more points you can earn for this event. May the best class win!

There will be a Bake Sale on Thursday after Winter Carnival Chapel in front of the Library. Whoopie Pies, cookies, and warm cinnamon rolls baked by Chef B’s Baking and Pastry class. Stop by the table and get fueled up for the events happening around campus.

Competitive Cheer placed second at the NVACs this past weekend, seeing an increase in their technique score.

Boys Varsity Basketball earned the 76-47 road victory over BFA-St. Albans last night. Rex Hauser led all scorers with 22 points, Kerrick Medose had 18 points, and Michael Rodriguez Guerrero had 17 points. The JV boys team also earned a win over the host Bobwhites.

WRESTLING @ CVU JAMBOREE 5:00; please dismiss the team at 1:40

JV/VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL @ MT. MANSFIELD 5:30/7:00; please dismiss the teams at 2:30
