Capstone Day is almost here! Juniors and seniors should check their stjlabs account later today for an email with their Capstone Venue Assignment for this Friday, May 3rd.

 

The Mongolia trip is excited to announce their expected price has dropped to just under $3,000 due to cheaper flight options, Mr. Jones and Dr. D will be holding an informational meeting about the trip tomorrow May 1st in Streeter 237 at 2:50. If you cannot attend but are interested in learning more, please email or contact Mr. Jones or Dr. D in the Science Department. We look forward to seeing you there!

 

Trivia Night is back! Next Thursday, May 9th, from 6 to 8, join us in the library for what promises to be the event of the year! Teams or individuals can sign up using the QR code on the posters or find Mr. O’Brien in Streeter 266. Candy, popcorn, soda, and baked goods will be available for sale! See you there next Thursday from 6 to 8 for some serious Trivia fun! 

 

This Wednesday, we will be hosting the Regional TrigStar Competition exam from 3:30-4:30 in Severance 25. This will only be available tomorrow from 3:30-4:30. Join Math Club today, Tuesday, as we prepare for tomorrow’s TrigStar competition. See you all in Severance 25 from 3:30-4:30pm.

 

Mrs. Prevost’s Photography II Students invite you to view their work on exhibit in the Ranger Hall Gallery. The images you see are part of a theme project where students did an in-depth visual essay on the topic of their choice. Each student handcrafted prints in the darkroom, toned them for longevity and mounted and matted them for exhibit.  Please swing by and take a look at your friend’s artwork!

 

Ms. Darling and the Fashion Design students invite you to take a closer look at the fabulous garments made for the Fashion show, now on display in the Morse lobby.

 

Today, Greer Kennedy will head off to Washington D.C. to compete as Vermont’s representative in the National Poetry Out Loud competition. If you’d like to watch her live performance, come to the library during your free block or during lunch on Wednesday to watch her livestreamed performance on the big screen. She will be competing with Region One from 9a.m. till noon. Wish her good luck when you see her today!

 

Congratulations to Andres Barrios Sobrino and Sofia Limoges, Nicholas Wright and Jose Espinosa Herrera, and Tiago Chang and Jeronimo Mosquera for winning #1, #2 and #3 respectively of the 2024 4th Annual SJA Spring Break Mixed Doubles Tournament. 

 

Girls Lacrosse beat Milton, 14-1, yesterday afternoon. Nine different players scored for the team, and Ella Blanchard had 3 saves in the game.

 

Boys Varsity Tennis beat Essex, 6-1, in their match on Monday. They swept all doubles matches and clinched several single victories by Andres Barrios, Pablo Gutierrez Gonzalez, Nick Wright, and Yan Rousseau.
