White Day

Movie Madness Day

Tomorrow is Twin Day! Find your favorite human and be sure to dress alike!  As a reminder, Thursday is Class Theme Day, and Friday is Green and White/SJA Gear Day!

Winter Carnival preparations continue after school today! Check your stjlabs account for the locations of your class’ skit, poster, and dance meetings!

GREASE auditions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, February 14 and 15th from 3:30 – 5:30pm in the Black Box. Bring sheet music to a song that you are comfortable with and be prepared to dance! Interested in auditioning? Be sure to check out the Academy Theater Canvas home page and fill out the audition form. If you have any questions, please see Laura Ponoran.

Any student interested in competing in the Rotary Speech Contest should see Mr. Lovett the Elder or Mrs. Legendre in the Headmaster’s Office by Friday. There are cash prizes at the local and state level. This year’s theme is “How can we make our schools places of hope?”

The Student Athletic Advisory Council invites you to vote for this week’s Caledonian Record Athlete of the Week Nominees: on the boys’ side: Edwin Stephenson from Alpine Skiing, and on the girls’ side: Hayden Wilkins from Girls’ Basketball. SAAC will not meet this week but see you next Friday!

If you ate 50 cookies at a friend’s house the other night, that is gross but also a sign of talent. That talent would best be transferred to Thursday afternoon’s Pancake Eating Contest. Different food, same stomach.

Cookie Decorating on Friday morning is not about the eating, but about members of your class having a chance to submit a decorated cookie to be judged. Artists and creative types welcome!

Ping Pong and Indoor Soccer will now start at 7:00pm on Thursday Night.

A reminder that tomorrow and Thursday, we will follow the ABDEC schedule with the afternoons being saved for Winter Carnival preparations and Pep Chapel.  Please report directly to your A block class tomorrow and Thursday morning.

The Gymnastics team took a close second in a tri-meet on Saturday by less than a point; .6 to be exact. This was the closest score the team has had in years. The team score was supported by Katy Noonan (6th on vault) and Ailee Stratton (4th on bars). Lydia Ruggles is still on a roll placing first all-around and first on all four events. Siri Jolliffe had her best meet of the season placing second all-around.

Boys Hockey beat Northfield, 13- 2, on Saturday. Memphis Mastine had a hat trick, Sebastian Ahonen and Holden Newland each scored 2 goals, and Evan Windrow, Phinny Huntington, Chase Robinson, and Briar Rutledge scored for the team. Hamilton Awe picked up the win in net making 13 saves on 15 shots.

Varsity Girls Basketball improved to 13-2 with a win on the road over Rice. Addy Ely led the charge with 15 points, followed by Adrianna Hever with 14, Cassidy Kittredge with 13, and Kyra Nelson with 10.

Happy Birthday today to Jason Chen, Dolma Sherpa, Tatum Steen, and a special Happy Birthday to Jacob Rateau from his advisory!
