White Cohort Day

All Students, Faculty, and Staff: Don’t forget if you haven’t ordered your lunch for next week, please do so by clicking on the link on your Advisory Page in Canvas. The link will close this morning at 8:45 a.m.

Jenks Studio will be here next week to take all underclassmen photos. Student photos will be taken during your assigned study hall time, and the order envelopes will be handed out in advisory. Everyone must have their photo taken regardless of whether you will be ordering photos so that your photo can be included in the yearbook. A schedule will be sent to your stjlabs accounts today! Please see Mrs. Legendre in the Headmaster’s Office or Mrs. Hegarty in the Campus Life Office with any questions.

The following College Virtual Visits will be held this afternoon. Be sure to check your email for the Virtual Visit Links: Syracuse University at 3pm; Landmark College at 3:30pm; Costal Carolina University at 4pm; Tulane University of Louisiana at 5:30pm; and Muhlenberg College at 6pm.

Seniors who have signed up to take the SAT on September 23rd, please see a guidance counselor in the library to complete your pre-registration.

Any students interested in Robotics Club this fall, please look in your stjlabs account for the sign-up form. We will need you to sign up before the end of today in efforts to determine our space requirements. If you have any questions, please visit the Campus Life Office.

Attention International Seniors — The registration deadline for the October 10th TOEFL is TOMORROW by NOON. Any senior needing to take the TOEFL should email Mrs. McCaffrey at mmccaffrey@stjlabs.com to get the link to the registration form. Please email Mrs. McCaffrey with any questions. Thank you.

Calling all students interested in Theater! We are looking to have a meeting early next week for you all to meet our new Director of Academy Theatre, Mr. Ray Walker. Please look for an email in your stjlabs account to sign up for the meeting. We are working hard to determine what our space needs might be, so it will be imperative that you communicate that you would like to attend. Please come to the Campus Life Office should you have any questions or concerns.

Calling all voracious readers of science fiction and fantasy: the library needs your help. On display in the library are 11 fresh sci-fi and fantasy books by rising stars in their industry. Each book is the first in a series, with sequels coming out soon! In the world of books, these are hot. But do you love them? Would you want more of them? Please help us decide: should we follow these series? Students with study hall in the library, check out the display. Read the book covers, leave sticky notes with your thoughts. Or check out a book, give it a read, give us input. All others, email library@stjlabs.com, call the circulation desk at 2477, or speak with the librarians on duty all five blocks in the dining hall to schedule a visit to the library. A full list is available on Instagram at sja_library. This display will move to the dining hall in two weeks. Thank you for your help.

Please join the Social Studies Department in remembering an important event that took place 233 years ago today! On September 17, 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history, the U.S. Constitution. Fun fact — The U.S. Constitution has 4,400 words. It is the oldest and shortest written Constitution of any major government in the world. Not to worry — here at SJA, we celebrate Constitution Week, not day, so there will be more interesting and fun facts to follow!
