Attention Seniors! Did you know that November 1st is only 5 days away? Your friendly Guidance Team is ready to help you meet your Early Action and Early Decision deadlines. Come by the Colby Conference Room tomorrow during your free block to get your last-minute questions answered as you prepare to press submit. See you there!

 

This Saturday’s Halloween Dance has been moved to the Alumni Gym. This new location will allow it to be much scarier than ever before! The cost of the dance is $3. The cost of getting scared is shortness of breath, increased heartbeat, and sweaty palms. The dance goes from 7-10pm and you must be there by 8pm. Prizes will be given to the costumes that are the scariest, funniest, most original, best couple, and best group.

 

Friday night fan bus?! That’s right, you and your friends can go to Essex Friday night to cheer on the football team in their first-round playoff game. Stop by Student Life to reserve your spot with Mr. LaCroix. Go Toppers!

 

Congratulations to this month’s winners of Chef B’s Random Act of Kindness:  For the Seniors — the Buhner advisory; for the Juniors — the Badgley advisory; for the sophomores — the Jess Angell advisory; and for the 9th grade — the Hibbert advisory! The winning advisories can pick up their box of goodies from Chef B tomorrow morning!

 

Attention all new, returning, or curious Nordic Racers: there will be an information meeting next Monday in Ranger 117 to discuss equipment needs, practice schedules, and plans for the 2022-23 Nordic season. If you cannot attend, please reach out to Coach Jolliffe via email or stop by Ranger 117. Think Snow!

 

Writers’ Block will not meet today due to the Meet the Teachers night. We’ll meet next week in the library to listen to visiting writer Jasper Craven. Have a great week, and don’t forget about the November 1 deadline for the Bennington College Young Writers’ Contest. See Mrs. Mackenzie if you have any questions!

 

Robotics club will meet Friday this week after school until 4:30. This change is due to Meet the Teacher conferences. Next week we will resume our normal Thursday meetings.  See you all there!

 

The Meditation Club will not meet after school this afternoon due to teacher conferences. We will see you next Thursday!

Boys’ Varsity Soccer defeated Brattleboro in the first round of the playoffs on Wednesday 4-1. Gerardo Fernandez had a goal and an assist, Jorge Trade, Nick Reed, and Aidan Brody each had a goal, and Silas Chapman and Andres Burrillo each had an assist. The team moves on to face CVU in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
