Green Day / Class Theme Day

A reminder that we will follow an abbreviated schedule today and will be ending with a brief Chapel before the Winter Carnival games begin. After E block, Seniors should report to Fuller Hall, and underclassmen should report to their normal advisory locations.

Tomorrow is Class Color Day!  Seniors — Black; Juniors — Blue; Sophomores — White; Freshmen — Green!

Winter Carnival schedules can be found in a link sent to your STJLABS account, strategic locations around campus, and in Mr. Ryan’s hands. If you feel guilty taking a schedule on paper that is available online, you can ease the anguish by turning it into a paper airplane for today’s contest in the dining hall.

All students, faculty, and staff — a reminder that if you would like to pick up a rapid COVID-19 test kit for you to be able to test before returning to school on March 2, please stop by the Nurses’ Office today or tomorrow.

Seniors — last call to submit your Senior Superlatives for the yearbook! The survey closes tomorrow, so get your ideas submitted now!

Did you hear the joke about Maple Glazed Donuts being at the Bake Sale? It’s No Joke. There will be Maple Glazed Donuts today for only $1.00. In addition, they will be selling nachos with cheese sauce and salsa for only $2.00! I have heard the glazed donuts give you superpowers, so stop by the Culinary Arts Bake Sale in front of the library starting at 3:15 today!

Calling all juniors who are interested in applying to the University of Vermont next year. UVM will be offering a visitation day on March 1 for current juniors to get to know their school and their campus. If you are interested, please see the flyer outside of the Guidance Office.

The National Online Math Competition is happening after break on Wednesday, March 2. If you are not a current member of the math team, but you would like to participate in MathCon, please see Mrs. Meehl in Severance 20 today or tomorrow or email her at molly.meehl@stjlabs.com.

Attention poetry lovers! Don’t miss the poetry slam, today at 4:45 in the library! If you’d like to compete, please bring 2 original poems, each less than 3 minutes in performance length. We also need volunteers to be judges and plenty of spectators to scream and cheer. Remember, we only cheer at poetry slams. Come have some candy and hear some great words and score yourself some Carnival points. Who will be the new reigning school slam champion? Come find out.

Winter Carnival fun is happening today in the Café! The Cafe will be open until 5:30pm and will have iced cold brewed coffee and other fun treats! After school today, they will be offering chicken tender & fry baskets, pizza roll baskets, fried oreos, and so much more! On Friday, stop by in the morning to grab coffee and other delicious treats. Cash or student account funds only please!

How many times can you twirl a Hula Hoop around your hips? If your response is “Don’t Know and Don’t Care” you are like the vast majority of people in the world. If you have an answer that is a large number, you are not only one of the cool kids but a candidate for the National Hula Scholarship. Show up to tomorrow’s Hula Hoop Challenge to learn more about it.

Too embarrassed to throw a Frisbee because it never gets to the person you are throwing it to but hits things instead? Come to Frisbee Gold today where the goal is to hit things and not people, which is also one of the 5 Things That You Should Have Learned in Kindergarten.

Attention Class of 2025: Today is the day! If you haven’t been able to participate yet, this is the time to do so. Banner and Dnance meet after school today! The banner meets in Colby 206 immediately after school. It’s time to glue flannel! Come help put the finishing touches on it this afternoon. The dance meets in South Church Basement from 3:00 until we are done. We will play our song and figure out our moves. We need 15-20 (or more) Frosh who are ready to bust a move. Again, meet in South Church basement to make the dance happen.  See you this afternoon!

(ICE ICE BABY TUNE) Soph Soph, Sophomores! Soph Soph, Sophomores! Now that winter carnival is jumping; With the banner kicked in, and the dances are pumpin’; Quick to the point, to the point, no faking; come to Severance 22 to finish painting
