Tomorrow will be a Gear Day, which means visible SJA Gear on top, with dress code appropriate bottoms.

 

Student Gov will meet Friday at 1:00pm in front of the Fuller Stage. Again, Student Gov will not meet in the basement as usual.

 

Attention all skiers and boarders! Don’t forget to get your Burke Mountain season passes, which are now available for purchase. Applications are available in the Business Office, or by emailing Mrs. Greenwood at jgreenwood@stjacademy.org. 

 

Any International students wanting to take the Dec 4th TOEFL — the registration deadline is November 19. Email Mrs. McCaffrey at mmccaffrey@stjlabs.com to register and with any questions. 

 

The following colleges will have virtual visits tomorrow: Colby Sawyer College and Springfield College.

 

Seniors — do you have a Nov. 15th college application deadline? If so, be sure to stop by the Guidance Office ASAP!

 

College Bound Seniors — Are you interested in free money towards your college expenses? Last Friday, the Guidance Office emailed you information on accessing scholarships via your Naviance Account — be sure to checkout the Elks 2022 Most Valueable Student Scholarship — an opportunity to be awarded up to $12,500 in free money towards your college expenses! Monday, Nov. 15th is the deadline to submit applications.

 

Don’t forget to sign up your indoor soccer team of 5 people in Campus Life! The tournament will start at 2pm tomorrow with a cash prize to the winners. This is another great event to help support the local food shelf. 

 

November 15th is one of the more popular college application deadlines. It is also when we will be hosting an informational zoom meeting regarding a hugely amazing opportunity for all those who will be graduating in June. If paid vacation, 100% cost-free college tuition, worldwide travel, and 100% medical and dental coverage interests you, then please email Mr. O’Brien and mark your calendars for this coming Monday, November 15th from 6-7 PM. An Airforce recruiter will discuss all those awesome benefits and answer any questions you or your family may have about the process via zoom. 

 

The Tech Strom Robotics Club will be meeting today in Streeter 230 starting at 3:45. Feel free to stop by to see the robot, and learn how to build another.

 

Attention Poetry Out Loud Declamation contestants: we will see you in the Black Box Theater this afternoon!  Please be there by 3:25, as we will begin promptly at 3:30. Writers’ Block club members, please be sure to also be there by 3:25 so that you do not interrupt a contestant.

We’ll take club attendance there. Get ready for some good times with poetry, everyone!
