If you or someone you know is between the ages of 18 and 35, you could have the opportunity to save someone’s life at no cost! This Saturday, at our homecoming football game at LI, Class of 2028 member Andrew Dobbin will be hosting a Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Registry Drive in partnership with Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Every year, tens of thousands of people are diagnosed with blood cancer or other life-threatening diseases and need bone marrow or stem cell transplants to survive. At the game, those between the ages of 18 and 35, and who are in general good health, will be able to do a free, quick cheek swab to join the international bone marrow registry and become a potential match for a patient in need, giving them a second chance at life. Stop by the Gift of Life table at the game to learn more and find out how you can join the registry! It only takes a few minutes to get started, and one small act could make an extraordinary difference. We hope to see you there!

What’s better than going to bed early on a Sunday night? Playing flag football with your friends while feeling good about yourself for supporting women’s education! Don’t forget to sign up for She’s The First’s annual flag football tournament this Sunday from 6:30 to 9pm. See Student Life or the Fieldhouse front desk to sign up and for more details. Registration closes at 3:30 on Friday.

The speaker series will continue this Friday night as Dr. Seymour Burns will speak about the relationship between climate change and the vast infestation of the cardboard crop. Arrive to the lower parking lot around 7:45. Admission is free and the burning of any cardboard you can bring is priceless.

Happy Birthday today to Ale Montemayor Farias and Yuchen Shu!

Varsity Boys Soccer beat Brattleboro, 5-0, in the first round of playoffs on Brattleboro’s home field! Excellent performances from Bowden Angell and Zane Faherty in the back and Ethan Ackerman in goal. A welcome return for Senior Tatum Steen, whose leadership up top was key.

Girls Varsity Soccer won their play-down game against Brattleboro 6-0. Lucy Moriarty and Olive Annello each had two goals, and Ellie Reed and Riley Barret each had 1. Olive also had 2 assists, and Lila Yerkes had 1 assist.

Varsity Field Hockey earned a hard-fought overtime victory over Burlington last night. Aven Thomas opened the scoring with an unassisted goal in the second quarter. She later set up the game-winner, passing to Claire Trojano, who fired the ball into the corner of the goal to secure the win.
