Green Day

Tomorrow we will follow the Walk for a Healthy Community Schedule. Students should report directly to their A block class by 7:55am, as there will be no Chapel. We will follow the ABDEC schedule, followed by advisory meetings before the walk.

Good morning, Class of 2028! Please check your school email this morning—a new ballot will be sent at 8:30 AM. A runoff vote is required to determine your Class President, so please take a moment today to cast your final vote and make your voice heard! The ballot will close at 3:30 PM.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional East Asian holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. The full moon is an important symbol of the festival because its round, complete shape represents wholeness, reunion, and togetherness. Mooncakes are traditionally shared with family and friends as a symbol of reunion and togetherness, making them a special part of the celebration. Students who celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival are invited to join us for a mooncake-making gathering on Friday, September 25th at 3:30 PM in the South Church Kitchen. Questions? Please see Ms. Davis in Streeter 255.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is starting this Friday! FCA is a student group focused on faith, sports, and their impacts on our lives. Our conversations will be rooted in the Christian faith, but you don’t have to be a Christian or an athlete to come. We’ll meet Friday mornings from 7:00–7:40 on Court 3 in the Field House. FCA is student-led, and we’re looking for students who want to help lead and shape this group. Come check it out this Friday!

Who doesn’t love a good food truck? Join us for SJA After Dark on Saturday, September 26th, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fairbanks Field under the lights! Join us for an awesome night featuring live music, games on the turf, and plenty of time to hang out with friends.

There is still time to sign up for this weekend’s rock-climbing trip! Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity and come climb up some rock walls with the Outing Club. See Mr. Larsen in Student Life, or Mr. Holden in the Field House for details. Dare to explore.

Tomorrow is SJA’s “Walk for a Healthy Community”. Our goal is to have the biggest showing of Topper pride that we can as we walk. To that end, we invite you to pair a green, white, green and white, or your SJA gear top tomorrow with any dress standard bottoms. We understand you may have class specific SJA sweatshirts that are otherwise out of dress standard — Friday is a really special opportunity to wear that or any other green/white/green and white shirts. Please note that if you are not in green/white/SJA gear, you need to be in a dress standard shirt.
