Seniors — please check your email or Canvas announcements for a link to the second round of voting for the 2025 Class Song. You should place your vote by the end of school today.

 

Student Government will meet today right after school in Fuller Basement. Please make sure you have completed the prompts from last week before the meeting. See Mr. Ryan or Brennan with any questions.

 

If you are planning on running for Student Government, see your Class Dean or Mr. Ryan for a petition. Note to all: When you are asked to sign a petition, ask the potential candidate to explain why they would be a good representative. It is your job to hold potential candidates accountable.

 

We are still gathering interest for the Blue Ridge Mountain hiking trip next April. If you are interested, please email Ms. Hibbert by the end of the day on Friday.

 

If you’re interested in playing girls soccer next fall there is a quick meeting in Severance 15 after school today. If you’re unable to make the meeting, please email Ms. Kramer.

 

We will have a mandatory meeting right after school tomorrow for all those going on this weekend’s hiking trip. Please meet in the Alumni Gym immediately after school.

 

Modern Dance students will be presenting their term projects this Saturday and Sunday, May 10th &11th in the Black Box. Saturday night’s program is at 7pm and Sunday is a matinee at 2pm. The Spring Dance Open House is open to all students, friends and families. There is no charge. All are welcome. We hope to see you there!

 

Please congratulate the following students who left this morning to participate in the All-State Music Festival this weekend in Essex: Charlie Keller, Sawyer Daffinrud, Wes Babcock, Raine Rashid, Owen Marcotte, Donley Johnson, Ben Wood, Moxie Stahler, Sophia Montague, Claudia Canuto, and Elizabeth Mackenzie.

 

Varsity Baseball beat Colchester, 3-1, on Tuesday afternoon. Rex Hauser went 2 for 2 at the plate and pitched a complete game to earn the win. Connor Decker went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs, and Cage Thompson went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI. The JV Baseball team also beat Colchester, 4 to 3. Pitchers Connor Surat and Ripley Boyden combined for 6 strikeouts, with Ripley striking out two of the last three Colchester batters to help seal the Topper victory! Henry Semp, Parker Thompson, Grayson Hallett, and Levi Thompson each collected a hit.

 

Varsity Softball beat Colchester, 13-12, in an epic, full-team, comeback win. In the 6th inning, the team was down, 12-7, but were able to put up 5 runs on 6 hits to tie the game. In the 7th inning, Kyra Dwyer capped off a 2 for 3 offensive day, drawing a walk and setting the table for Kyra Nelson’s RBI walk-off single. 

 

Boys Varsity Lacrosse team beat BFA-Fairfax, 14 to 10. Jacob Emerson had 6 six goals, Noah Pekarski had 3 goals, and Derek Renaud had 2 goals. James Hatch, Andrew Gorman, and Jackson Fisher each scored one goal for the win.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse lost to Rice in overtime, 9 to 8. Meredith Rogers tallied three goals, Maggie Langlais and Devlin Murphy each added 2 goals, and Molly Kimber rounded out the scoring with one goal. Goalie Ella Blanchard recorded 9 saves.

 

On Tuesday, in the Girls Tennis match against Burlington, Victoria Gutierrez battled Burlington’s No.1 Singles’ player for over 3 hours to win in a tiebreaker. On Wednesday, in a back-to-back match, the team beat Stowe, 5-2. Victoria, Gracie Lawrence, and Taryn Trombley took wins in the singles matches, and Maria Sarabia and Paula Gutierrez bested Stowe’s Second Doubles.

 

Happy Birthday today to Chloe Angell, Orleans Germond, Trevor Maney, Natalie Noble, and a special Happy Birthday to Mikey Rodriguez from his friends!
