Interested in contributing to the 10-minute play festival on February 13th? Learn how to get involved next Tuesday at 3:30 in the Black Box. The festival can use all types of contributions including, Acting, Music, Writing, Tech, and Designing. This festival is student devised, student driven, and is open to any performance ideas you might have. Come to the meeting next Tuesday at 3:30 in the Black Box and get involved. We invite you to join the Christian Fellowship Group for prayer, conversation, and Bible study every Friday morning at 7:00 AM in the Fuller Basement. Starting on Sunday, January 26th, there will be a 3v3 basketball tournament every Sunday during the third quarter. If you are interested, please see the flyers in the Field House for more details. Create and team or show up and join a team. There will be prizes for the overall winning team.
Starting this week, Improvised Comedy Club will meet in Fuller Hall from 3:15-4:30 each Friday. Come on down to get some laughs. If you plan to attend this week, please bring an impression of your favorite fruit or vegetable. Special congratulations to Mr. Legendre, who was recently named Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year for Vermont from the US Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association. Thank you, Mr. Legendre, for all your hard work and dedication!
Gymnastics scored their highest team score in their win against Montpelier, 138.4 –72.75. The Hilltoppers once again took the top three places in the all-around with Lydia Ruggles in first, Peyton Thompson in second, and Hannah Wood in third.
The Nordic team travelled to Craftsbury Outdoor Center for a skate race hosted by Craftsbury Academy. Sisu Lange won the Varsity Boys 5k mass start race, and 9th grader Graham Moriarty had an awesome race finishing 10th. Tillie Lange placed second in the Varsity girls’ race, and 9th grader Stella van der Linde placed 4th overall. The JV skiers had much success with Brody Dussault, Henry Jolliffe, and Albert Gimler placing 2nd, 3rd, and 5th respectively. Lila Mackenzie placed first for the JV girls.
Girls Varsity Basketball beat CVU, 54-45, last night. Addy Ely and Kyra Nelson lead a phenomenal lockdown team defensive effort, and Anna Ebert carried the squad with a superior rebounding performance, and a career high 21 points. Cassidy Kittredge dominated in the post with 14 points. The JV-A team lost by only 3 points to the CVU JV team.
