WHITE DAY

Tomorrow, we will have a Pep Chapel in the Alumni Gym to celebrate the start of our Winter sports season!  Please report directly to Alumni Gym for 7:55am on Friday morning.

A reminder that backpacks cannot be left in the entrance ways or on the stairs of Fuller Hall during Chapel.  Backpacks should be left either in Colby Hall, Severance Hall, or outside of your A block class.

A friendly reminder that snowballs are not something that should be thrown at others on campus at any time.

Academy Theater is excited to announce the spring musical will be…drum roll please…Revealed at our informational meeting today!  The meeting is at 3:30 in the Black Box. We’ll talk about the musical and the 10-minute play festival details. All are welcome. That’s 3:30 today in the Black Box. Email Mr. Kane with any questions.

The Dance Department’s December Dance Open House will take place this Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm in the Morse Black Box.   All students, faculty, staff, families and friends are invited to join the dancers and athletes in celebrating the end of the term.

Attention artists and writers:  The Clear River Review, the Academy’s journal of arts and writing, is now accepting submissions through Monday, February 3.  You may submit up to two submissions in each of the following categories:  fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual arts.  To learn more about guidelines, grab a rip strip from a poster on campus, or ask Mrs. Mackenzie or Ms. Drew any questions.

Don’t forget – the duck hunt begins tomorrow! Students you are looking for ducks with scarves. Adults you are looking for snowman ducks. The elf class deans will also be hidden somewhere in Colby, Ranger, or Severance. Sorry adults, this one is just for the students. Remember you can only find one duck. If you find a duck or your class dean, return them to Student Life for a prize!

The Culinary Arts classes at the Hilltopper Restaurant did a great job designing and preparing food for the Athenaeum Event last week.  A shout out to the students who helped with the evening event: Everett Blake, Autumn Despins, Ashlyn Rivard, Grace Daigneault, Declan Kendall, Ryder Smith, Luc Oliver, and Zeke Wohlberg. Chef Andre and Mrs. Libbey thank you for your time and effort. It’s greatly appreciated!
