There will be a Pep Chapel tomorrow morning in the Alumni Gym. Please report directly to the Gym for 7:55am.

Spirit Week is almost here! To celebrate, we will have the following theme days next week: Monday — Flannel Shirt Day; Tuesday — Twin Day; Wednesday — Hat Day; Thursday — Class Theme Day; and Friday — Green and White/SJA Gear Free Variety Day. Dress up and show your school spirit all next week!

Student Government will meet today in Fuller Basement right after school. Please see Mr. Ryan or Laura with any questions.

A National Guard rep will be on campus today. Please see Naviance for details.

For everyone going on the rock-climbing trip this Sunday, there will be a mandatory meeting right after school tomorrow in the Field House. If you can’t make the meeting you must speak with Mr. Holden.

Attention International Students — If you are interested in taking the November 11th TOEFL you need to register with Mrs. McCaffrey by Thursday, October 19th at noon. See your STJLABS email for the link to the registration form, and see Mrs. McCaffrey in Colby 106 with any questions.

The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest is intended to encourage and reward the
qualities of good citizenship. This award recognizes and rewards individuals with good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree. Please give a round of applause to our three nominees, Greer Kennedy, Kaia Anderson, and Brooke White. Seniors, a link has been sent to your STJ labs to vote on the Class of 2024’s nominee. Voting will end on October 25th.

The Topper Friends Club will meet in Ranger 113 at 3:15PM this afternoon. From there we will walk to the St. Johnsbury House for pumpkin carving.

Brought to you by the Student Athletic Advisory Council… this week’s Caledonian Record athlete of the week nominees: Vote for either cross-country runner Carson Eames or football player Joe Silver on the boys side, and on the girls side: field hockey player Maggie Langlais.

When Taylor Swift said she liked the number 13, we all liked the number 13. When Taylor Swift started dating Travis Kelsey, we all bought Travis Kelsey jerseys. When Taylor Swift burned Jake Gyllenhaal, we all decided to bring cardboard to school to burn in next week’s Bonfire. If school spirit is not enough motivation to bring in cardboard, do it because that is what Taylor would want.

And now… without further ado… Mr. Camelio’s Joke of the Week: There’s only one thing I can’t deal with… a deck of cards glued together. 😊

Happy Birthday today to Jasmine Forthun, Orleans Germond, Devlin Murphy, and Ainsley Watkins!  Happy Birthday tomorrow to Jack Lawson, Brooke White, Isabela Saldana Galindo, and Taylor Powers; on Saturday to Gus Yerkes; and on Sunday to Aidan Brody!

Congratulations to the Class Officers for the Class of 2027! President: John Thornton-Sherman; Vice President: ZeZe Davis; Secretary: Ailee Stratton; and Treasurer: Joel Thornton-Sherman. Thanks to all candidates and all voters!
