Green Cohort Day

November begins the month of giving! The student body wants to help our local food shelf by collecting items for those in need as it begins to get darker and colder. In order to kick off the week, tomorrow will be a Gear Day — a way of bringing us all together on Election Day as one community. Wednesday will be twin day, Thursday will be Throwback Thursday where we would like everyone to dress in your favorite decade, and Friday will be flannel Friday. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to their advisory locations. The advisory who brings in the most, wins a week of Chef B’s goodies!!!

A reminder that SCOPE will hold its first official planning meeting today from 3:15–4:15 in Ranger 212. Please check your email for a link to Zoom in if you can’t make it in person! You can always contact Mrs. Morris for more information at cmorris@stjacademy.org.

Are you a bit of a science geek, interested in ornithology, and pretty okay with learning to identify of 60 different bird calls using 10 notes or less? Maybe you think identifying a dinosaur from a partial footprint, a fossilized ankle bone, and a tooth WAY outclasses Soduko for quality puzzles? Then let’s co-populate and socially distance at the Science Olympiad meeting on Tuesday (for White Cohort) and Wednesday (Green Cohort) in Streeter 241. We will work together on these and 25 other topical science challenges. Meetings are 3:30–4:30 Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are interested, please email Mr. Eckel at edwin.eckel@stjlabs.com so we can plan our use of space.
