Attention students taking AP Seminar next semester! Our summer reading text is Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. The English Department has a limited number of copies to lend out. Please see Ms. Drew in Colby 205 if you would like to borrow a copy. If you are not signed up for AP Seminar and you are interested in learning more about the class, see Ms. Drew, Mrs. Jolliffe, or Mr. Jolliffe for more information! 

 

The Senior Auction will be up for two more days. All items are active until Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 pm when the auction will close. Several items have seen lots of bidding, so be ready if you have your eyes on something special. Happy bidding! 

 

Looking for a fun local leadership development program and an opportunity to meet new people?  Consider applying for the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy scheduled for June 24-26 at NVU Lyndon. For more information, see Mrs. Cady in the Straszko Alumni House.

 

Today, Monday, the Math Team will host the Trig Star competition in Fuller Basement at 3:30. All are welcome to join us for this final competition! Fuller basement, 3:30. 

 

A big thank you to Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Bourgeois and their “rockstar student” Beckett Jewell, who fabricated 4 Training bars for RecFit.  These bars will allow the safe teaching of the complex movements of the Power and Olympics lifts during the Athletic Performance Training camp at RecFit, which begins this weekend.  The bars will then be transitioned to campus for summer workouts and to teach incoming students.

Girls Ultimate beat BFA-St. Albans, 15-3.

 

Boy Varsity Ultimate beat Essex, 15-10, and the JV team beat Essex, 15-11.

 

Varsity Baseball lost to Burlington, 12-7. 

 

Varsity Girls Lacrosse lost to Hartford, 16-4, and the JV team beat Hartford, 10-2.

 

Varsity Softball beat Burlington, 5-4. 

 

Boys Varsity Tennis beat Rice, 5-2. 

 

On Saturday at the Burlington Invitational, Evan Thornton-Sherman reset the Vermont State Record in winning the 1500m run. Evan also won the 3000m in meet record time and was named the outstanding track performer of the meet. The Girls were led by Lizzy Jones winning the pole vault and with Brooke White placing 3-4 in the shot put. The teams had a host of other scorers in various event. The meet was scored as a combined gender, Coed meet, the teams placed 2nd to Essex in the 23 team meet.
