Green Cohort Day

Today starts our Fall athletic competitions. As a reminder, there will be no general admission to games, as the VPA has enforced strict limits as to the number of spectators allowed. Priority will be given to families of the players. Please cheer on our teams prior to their events!

The Harvest of the Month is an agreement between local farms and our school to purchase local produce in bulk each month. In doing so, we benefit from the local food system while helping local farms remain financially sustainable throughout the year. September’s Harvest of the Month was sweet peppers! Peppers are native to South and Central America. The pepper plant is very adaptable, meaning that peppers started to spread and be enjoyed all around the world. Sweet peppers are also an amazing source of vitamin A, vitamin C, and potassium. Along with being full of nutrients sweet peppers deliver a satisfying colorful crunch with every bite! Look for this month’s harvest in the dining hall and enjoy!

The Nurses’ Office and the entire Academy community would like to wish Ms. Gracie Bell-Melvin the best of luck as she says goodbye to the Academy on Wednesday. Ms. Bell-Melvin — you will be dearly missed, and we wish you all the best on this next chapter in your life!

Happy Birthday today to Johnathan Lang, Hayden Marceau and a special Happy Birthday to Spencer Hayes from his advisory. Happy Belated Birthday to Kai Liljequist from the students and proctors in the Barn.
