On January 1, MTV decided they would no longer show music videos and focus on developing quality reality shows. Their latest show follows the lies of members of a professional Ultimate Rubber Chicken team. Come to Stowe Green on Friday morning to learn all about this event.
A recent article in Rolling Stone selected the lamest #1 song of all time and it was (drum roll please) …We Built This City by Starship. So, if you were nervous about your talents about creating a song, you will always be better than Starship, so come to Friday morning’s Song Writing Winter Carnival Event at 9 in Fuller Basement.
At the CVCC, JV Competitive Cheer hit a zero deduction in their first ever competitive appearance. After having to perform their routine twice, Varsity was able to secure second place in their division!
At a meet hosted by Burr & Burton, the Gymnastics team improved their record to 7-0! Hilltoppers’ depth was on full display, particularly on the Uneven Bars, where SJA swept the top three spots. Lydia Ruggles led the way with a stellar 9.4, followed by Kinley Remick, who broke into the 9s for the first time with a 9.05. Hannah Wood rounded out the top three with an 8.7. All around, Lydia Ruggles took 2nd and Hannah Wood took 3rd!
On Saturday, the Nordic Team departed campus before the sun came up to travel to Rikert in Ripton, VT to race in a 3km classic race in the morning and a 3km skate race in the afternoon. Congratulations to Stella van der Linde, Amalie Pratt, Graham Moriarty and Cyrus Kidder for qualifying for the U16 championships, and Tillie Lange and Anya Moriarty for qualifying for the Eastern High School Championships. We are so proud of you for representing SJA and the State of Vermont in your upcoming Championship race in March.
