Barcelona trip meetings this Thursday May 2 — student info session at 2.45pm after school in Colby 302 and the parent info session at 6.00pm in Library Media Room. Please reach out to Mr. Cushman or Ms. Sandvil with any questions or conflicts.

 

On Thursday, May 9th at 6:30pm in the Field House, there will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to raise money for the NEKCA homeless shelter as part of Natalie Esposito’s Capstone project. The cost is $15.00 per team. If interested, please email Natalie to sign up with the name of your players!

 

The Student Athletic Advisory Council is excited to announce this year’s Caledonian Record Winter Sports Players of the Year — Andrew Thornton-Sherman from Boys’ Indoor Track, Brooke White from Girls’ Indoor Track, Sisu Lange from Boys’ Nordic Skiing, Tillie Lange from Girls’ Nordic Skiing, Brooke Davis from Girls’ Wrestling, and Lydia Ruggles from Gymnastics. Congratulations! 

 

Happy Birthday today to Uma Chirkova and Tyler Demas! A special Happy Belated Birthday to Addie Jensen from her advisory!

 

Girls Lacrosse lost to Vergennes, 14-5. The 5 goals were scored by Emmy Morgan, Meredith Rogers, Maggie Langlais, and 2 by Kelsey Greenwood. On Tuesday, the team played CVU, but fell short, 15-2. The two goals were scored by Meredith Rogers and Amelia Clark, and on Saturday, the team lost to Essex, 12-2. SJA’s goals were scored by Kelsey Greenwood and Devlin Murphy.

 

Varsity Softball beat Hartford, 12-0 over the break. Cassidy Kittredge won her 2nd game letting up just 2 hits. Doubles were hit by Emerson Mitchell, Kaia Anderson, Hayden Wilkins, Kacie Nelson, and Emma Greenan. On Thursday, the team fell short to last years state champions, BFA-St. Albans, losing, 13-9. 

 

Varsity Baseball beat Hartford, 8-2, with Cage Thompson pitching all 7 innings. Jason Mitchell, Jr. went 2-2, Rex Hauser had 2 runs and a home run, Carson Finn had 3 runs, and Taishiro Yamaoka had a triple in the fourth inning. The team then beat BFA-St. Albans on Thursday, 5-0. Will Eaton and Cam Dwyer both went 2-3 scoring one run for the team. Declan Kendall and Carson Finn hit doubles, and Rex Hauser had 7 strikeouts and hit a triple in the first inning. The JV team beat BFA, 14-3. Liam Paquette had nine strikeouts, and Isaiah Christie had 2 hits and 3 runs. 

 

Over break, the boys track and field team won the 6 team home meet vs U32, MMU, LI, MCU and Stanstead. The girls placed second. Also, on Friday the 9th graders won the NEK invitational vs NCU and Lake Region and host LI.
