Today there are two big deadlines! If you wish to take the April 8^th PSAT10 or SAT you must register by 3pm today. Also, if you are applying for a VSAC scholarship, the deadline to let Ms. Carr know about uploading supporting documents is also today at 3pm, as she will not be here over the break. Stop by C101 with any questions.

Last Saturday, the Science Olympiad traveled to UMass-Amherst for a competition. Against 35 other teams, including the top teams from Massachusetts, the team finished just out of the medals. Among the notable accomplishments are top ten finishers: Ava Massoni and Donley Johnson earning 6^th in Fossils and 11^th in Dynamic Planet. Ava Massoni and Lucas Wagner earned 7^th in Ecology. Lucas Wagner and Charlie Peralez earned 7^th in Fermi Questions. Mat Zhylkin and Elana Kosmas earned 9^th in Chem Lab. In Anatomy and Physiology, Mat Z and Paulie Xin finished 10^th. The team wants to thank Mr. Adnan Macadonci for driving us, and the wonderful St. J community of learners for their support. Science Olympiad is headed to the state tournament in April!

On Wednesday, the Academy Nordic team hosted six schools at our sunny home site in Walden. The girls dominated the day, with Tillie Lange and Anya Moriarty finishing 1^st and 2^nd, respectively, and Ava Purdy and Effie Dunn finishing in the top 10. The boys finished third overall, with Sisu Lange in 2^nd, Levi Breton in 14^th, Nick Reed in 16^th, and Sam Martin in 22^nd.  The Academy Nordic team will host the State Classic Meet at Rickert Outdoor Center next Tuesday and conclude their season next Friday at the State Skate Meet at Craftsbury.  A special thanks to the many Academy faculty and staff who helped host this Wednesday’s meet. We couldn’t do it without your support.

Varsity Girls Basketball completed their regular season last night with a home win against Mt. Mansfied to finish with a 17-3 record. Hayden Wilkins led the team with a career high of 27 points, followed by Cassidy Kittredge with 9. 

Happy Birthday today to Hollyn Bradshaw, Molly Gadwah, and Colin Randall!  Happy Birthday to all who will celebrate over the break, especially Aubrielle Gibson, Zerui Lou, and Xinshuo Wang, who will be celebrating their birthday on Leap Day – February 29^th!
