If you are a Junior and have not yet been to see Guidance this week to create your schedule for next year, please do so today by stopping by during your free block.

 

Congratulations to this month’s winners of Chef B’s Random Act of Kindness: For the seniors — the Callanan advisory; for the Juniors — the Meehl advisory; for the Sophomores — the Davis advisory; and for the 9th Graders — the Begin/Begin-Giddings advisory. Winning Advisors — the boxes of munchies can be picked up at the beginning of Advisory in Chef B’s kitchen.

 

Reminder — The Vermont Principal’s Association requires all playoff games to have students pay admission. That amount is $5.00, so please be prepared when you enter Alumni Gym Friday evening. Payment via Venmo will be accepted.

 

Attention Girls Lacrosse and Prospective Lacrosse Players: With the winter sports season wrapping up, we invite you to the final Winter Lacrosse Session, this Sunday morning at the Field House. New players are scheduled from 8:30 to 10:00, and experienced players are from 10:00-11:30. Coach Begin Giddings will be there this week, so please see her with any questions.

 

Happy Birthday today to Chase Sweet and Jenna Zorn, and to all who will be celebrating over the break! A special happy birthday to Mr. Grasso from his advisory and everyone at the Learning Center! A special Happy Birthday over the break to Maren Nitsche from the Smith advisory!

 

Kingdom Blades finished their season beating Rice, 4-1. Good luck to the team as they head into playoffs!

 

The girls nordic team currently sit in 5th place in the Vermont State Nordic Championships after an impressive outing in the individual freestyle and freestyle relays. The girls were powered by sophomore Ruth Kreb’s 2nd place finish. Ninth grade phenom Anya Moriarty had her best race of the season, finishing 2nd on the team, followed by Mary Fowler, Siri Jolliffe, and Ava Purdy. Charlie Krebs and Sisu Lange positioned the team in 4th place overall with their 10th and 11th place finishes respectively. Junior Nick Reed and seniors Nathan Lenzini and Krane Davis finished out the scoring for the boys. The team travels to Rickert Nordic Center on Tuesday for the classic races and aim to move up in the standings. Last year the boys finished in 9th place overall and the girls 7th.
