On Tuesday, November 1 at 7 PM, Dr. Jeremy Spoon will hold a Zoom talk for any interested students. Dr. Spoon is an Applied Environmental Anthropologist. He is a Professor of Anthropology and the Director of the Emergency Management and Community Resilience Program at Portland State University. He is also an affiliate faculty at PSU in the School of the Environment, Indigenous Nations Studies, and the Institute for Asian Studies. Dr. Spoon is an engaging speaker, his discussion of his research methods and projects is interesting and accessible. A champion has arisen in this year’s Halloween Library Scavenger Hunt. You and your fellow book hunters dug deep in the library stacks to unearth over 350 books with Bats Rats or Cats on the cover. Well discovered! Congratulations in particular to Ine Zartarian, who is the champion of this year’s hunt. Ine personally found 100 books to gain the title of Champ. Well done, Ine! 

 

Happy Birthday today to Gabe Walker!  Happy Birthday tomorrow to Kohl Carter, Winter Hill Barnes, and Lennon Daffinrud, and on Sunday to Lexy Gravelle! 

 

If you love to come to school on Mondays and hear about all the fun you missed over the weekend, please make sure you miss the Halloween Dance in the Gym tomorrow night. However, if you want to laugh, get scared, bust your moves, and listen to Lizzo, then be sure you, your costume, and your $3 are there tomorrow between 7 and 8pm.  The scary dance moves will continue until 10pm!
