White Day

Attention all students taking this Saturday’s SAT exam. In order to be admitted, you must have a valid photo ID issued either by the school or your home state. You may also use your passport. You must have a printed version of the official College Board admission ticket (It may not simply be saved on a smartphone or an iPad — it must be a hard copy). That ticket must also have your photo on it. In addition to bringing those essential items, you will want to bring the following: a scientific calculator with extra batteries, number two pencils (mechanical pencils are not allowed), and some snacks to eat during your breaks. Cell phones will be collected in all testing rooms.  Please dress comfortably. If it’s raining in the morning or if it’s especially cold, be sure to dress accordingly for the wait outdoors. The doors to Colby Hall will open at 7:45. The doors will lock at 8:00. We look forward to greeting you there.

The following college has a virtual visit today: Skidmore College at 2pm. On Monday, the following colleges will be visiting:  University of Rhode Island, Emmanuel College, and Oberlin College. Please be sure to check Naviance for all details!

The Field Semester class is celebrating color season today by pressing fresh apple cider from apples harvested on the Field Campus and from local farms. We will be in front of the library this morning handing out free samples, so check it out and enjoy the flavor of fall in the Northeast Kingdom!

Hello from the Make it Better Club! This is a reminder that we’re still taking donations for the Birthday bash bags for the next two weeks! Look for the posters around campus for ideas about what to bring in. Get your donations to your advisor, and we’ll do the rest. Thanks for making a kid smile!

You are invited to the Morse Center for the Arts! On display until Thursday of next week are handmade tote bags from Fashion I, produced with 100% recycled materials. While you’re there, check out the studies from Anatomy and Figure Drawing, projects from Clay 1, Intro to Drawing, and so much more! Albert Einstein once said: “Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.”

A special Happy Birthday today to Maddie Woodson from her advisory! Happy Birthday tomorrow to Krane Davis, Emma Proia, Marcus Burns, and Olivia Smith!
