Green/White/SJA Gear Day
White Day
We will follow the ABDEC schedule again today, with Spirit Week Pep Chapel starting in Fuller Hall at 12:45pm.
C-Block teachers, please allow the cheer team to attend first lunch and then head to Fuller Hall for Pep Chapel preparations.
Please excuse Band members at 12:15 to prepare for Pep Chapel.
Attention sophomores: during your study hall or free block on Monday or Tuesday next week, you will be asked to complete STAR tests for reading and math. Your study hall proctor will have information about where you need to go, or you will receive a green slip if you do not have a study hall. The tests typically take most of the block, so please plan ahead. We ask you to take the tests seriously and do your best — once you have reached the proficiency benchmark you will not need to test again. See Dr. Desjardins in Academics if you have any questions.
Attention, all Nordic Skiers. We will hold an informational meeting next Tuesday at 3:15 in Ranger 212. We welcome anyone interested in the sport, whether you’ve been skiing for years or have never Nordic skied before. Mr. Jolliffe will announce the year’s schedule and share information on where you can buy or rent skis for the season. If you can’t make the meeting but are interested, please stop by Mr. Jolliffe’s office on the 1st floor of Ranger, by the elevator. Winter is coming.
A reminder that if you are between the ages of 18 to 35, stop by the Gift of Life table at the football game to participate in the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Registry Drive. It only takes a few minutes to get started, and one small act could make an extraordinary difference. You never know who you could save!
Election season is upon us. Have you seen all the signs dotting people’s lawn and along the roadsides? They are colorful and contain some information regarding the candidates. Members of Mr. Eckhardt’s Contemporary Issues class have created similar signs for a mock election and are running for either senator or governor. They have employed principles of design and a short slogan on their posters. Please come take a look and vote for your favorite sign. Please cast your ballot based on the quality of the design over the name on it. That said, Be Smart, Vote Eckhardt!
And now it’s time for Michael’s Joke of the Week: Why do vampires always seem sick?…They’re always coffin
Happy Birthday tomorrow to Ava Barrett, Kaiden Beauchamp, Carter Gilding, MJ Kissinger, Grayson Neurath, Amelia Rossiter, and Brooke Wells, and on Sunday to Victoria Lombardi and Fernando Quezada Marquez!
