Variety Day

White Day

Don’t forget — school photos will be taken next week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday! Mr. Legge will be set up on Fuller stage between 8:15am and 3:00pm each day. There is no cost to have your photo taken, but prints may be purchased using the form you received in advisory.

Juniors and Seniors, the deadline to register for the School Day PSAT and SAT is Monday, September 15th at 3pm. Please see Mrs. LaBounty with questions.

Endicott College is on campus today for a visit. Please see Naviance or Mrs. LaBounty for details and to register. Be sure to check in with your teacher before attending.

Any international student needing to take the October 11th TOEFL must register with Mrs. McCaffrey in Colby 106 no later than 12:00pm on September 19.

Academy alumna Rachel Fickes and UVM’s John Franklin will be running an Ancient Greek music workshop E block in C309. If you have a free block and would like to attend, please email Mrs. Callanan by 1:30 today.

There will be a mandatory meeting for this weekend’s Outing Club trip today right after school in the Alumni Gym.

Reminder: Pick up your Women Can Do registration packet from Mrs. Murphy in Streeter 208!

If you enjoy spending time outside with friends, getting some exercise and helping others, then Bryn Waring has the perfect opportunity for you. Consider joining Bryn’s team as they walk laps at the Wildflower Inn to raise money for the American Cancer Society on Saturday, September 20th. Look for signs around campus about Relay for Life for more details, but remember that it is not a race. Interested in joining the team or simply making a donation? Please speak with Bryn in person or via email or see Ms. Meranze in C206. Let’s Walk for Cancer!

Every month, Chef B does a Random Act of Kindness and gifts a random advisory from each class with a box of delicious treats! Congratulations to this month’s recipients: Seniors — the Quinn advisory; Juniors — the Kramer advisory; Sophomores — the Farnham advisory; and the 9th graders — the Mitchell advisory! Advisors — please see Chef B for your treats!

Students, when you look around Fuller Hall, you may notice that there are fewer seats for advisors. If there is an empty seat in your row on a particular day, your advisor or another advisor may ask you to scoot down so they can sit down, too. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and kindness if an adult makes this request.

Varsity Field Hockey battled U-32 last night, but again fell short. They had a tremendous second quarter, but were unable to carry that momentum through the rest of the game. The JV team also fell short, but saw great work by multiple players including Alice, Zoe, Paislee, and Layla with 7 saves in goal.

The Boys Golf Team placed second in their match at Cedar Knoll yesterday against CVU, Vergennes, and Rice. Mario Alvarez placed second individually at the tournament, and Jaxson Cahoon played a great round in his first competitive match with the team.

Happy Birthday today to Donley Johnson and Anela Jenkins! Happy Birthday tomorrow to Burke Donovan, Andrew Armstrong, Brody Mann, and Landon Mosher, and on Sunday to Lily Groft, Isaac Lenzini, Ethan Calcagni, Joshua Curtis, Jack Fan, Maryann Rooney, Lucia Tenaglia, and Victoria-Lynn Losh!
