White Day

Variety Day

A reminder that next week is Winter Break! Classes will start back on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

The Math Department is considering options for summer math courses. However, we need your input to determine what classes could run. A survey has been sent to the classes of ’26, ’27, and ’28 to gauge your interest and ability to take part in one of these courses. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

Calling Girls Lacrosse Players — The final winter lacrosse session is this Sunday morning, February 23rd from 9:30 to 11:00 at the Field House. Whether you’ve been coming since the start or this would be your first time, we’d love to see you!

The Governor’s Institute of Vermont’s application is now live! GIV offers a variety of immersive, residential summer learning opportunities hosted at college campuses all over the state. This year’s programs are the arts, engineering, entrepreneurship, global issues and youth action, health and medicine, mathematical sciences, technology and design, and weather and climate science! Stop by the Guidance Office if you would like more info!

We discovered, after announcing the Presidential Scholars yesterday, that the Academy has one additional senior who was selected. Please help me in congratulating Isabel Linton, who also was selected as a candidate for the 2025 US Presidential Scholars Program!

The Alpine team raced at Middlebury Snowbowl yesterday. The Boys team placed 4 racers in the top 15 with Andrew Gorman 3rd, Zane Faherty 9th, Henry Semp 10th, and Griffin Knisley 15th. The Girls were led by Ace Irwin in 12th followed by Elizabeth Lopes 28th, Willoughby Heath 38th, and Isabella Cookson 44th.

Congratulations to Sisu Lange who won the Division 1 Boys 5k Skate/Ski title yesterday at Craftsbury. The Boys relay team made up of Sisu, Graham Moriarty, Sam Martin and Linden van der Linde just missed the podium in the 2.6k x 4 race placing 4th. On the girls side, both Tillie Lange and Anya Moriarty medaled in the 5k skate event. The girls 4 x 2.6 relay team made up of Anya Moriarty, Stella van der Linde, Kate MacKenzie, and Tillie Lang took second place in a final sprint to the finish! Because of their efforts, the team is in second place heading into the second State Meet in Woodford, VT at Prospect Mountain on Tuesday. Please wish them luck!

The Hilltoppers Boys Basketball team brought the energy from the start and earned the 72-55 victory over the current #2 ranked Rice Green Knights. Michael Rodriguez led the point totals with 27, followed by Rex Hauser with 19, and Kerrick Medose with 10. The Hilltoppers clinch the #3 seed with one regular season game left on Saturday @ CVU.
