St. Johnsbury Academy National Honor Society Members
St. Johnsbury Academy National Honor Society (NHS) students have been working hard both collectively and individually to support our community and to show they care.
NHS Members sent a message of gratitude as well as a donation to support the meal train program for employees at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. They also provided an uplifting message to SJA faculty during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Individually, the list of volunteer service is impressive, and includes:
-
Volunteering at the Vermont Foodbank and local food shelves
-
Trail work
-
Preparing baked goods and food for neighbors, those in isolation, and for people working on the frontlines
-
Assisting neighbors and the elderly with yard work, gardening, stacking wood and painting
-
Greening up around various communities
-
Tutoring of younger children and peers
-
Babysitting the children of essential workers
-
Delivering groceries and other items to neighbors who can’t or shouldn’t go out
-
Taking an elderly neighbor’s clothes to the laundromat
-
Making and delivering masks
-
Donating towards and helping to pack school meals that are being delivered to area school children
-
Making care packages for homeless people
-

Thank you to the NHS Members for making a difference and for sharing your bright light and love throughout our community!
