Instructor
Karla Elizalde hails from a quaint coastal town in Ecuador. Her educational journey led me to successfully obtain a bachelor’s degree in education at University of Guayaquil, Ecuador, with a specialization in teaching English as a second language. In the autumn of 2020 she made the exciting decision to relocate to the beautiful state of Vermont. Before her journey to Vermont, she had the opportunity of sharing her expertise as an ESL teacher in a high school setting for three years. Now, as she embarks on a new chapter in her career, she is am excited to bring her expertise and passion for teaching to Saint Johnsbury Academy where she fulfills the role of Spanish teacher. She is grateful for the warm welcome and the chance to contribute to the academic growth and language development of her students. Vermont has quickly become her home away from home, and she is am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community.
